Somawathi ProcessionπŸ™πŸ’ƒπŸ˜

Somavathi is a sacred place where the right canine tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined. πŸ™πŸ’ƒπŸ˜ Somavathi is a sacred place that we love to visit. It is great blessing that the Somavathiya shrine is located in my hometown. The Somavathiya Procession is held once a year. Last year, we went to Somavathiya to watch the Procession. πŸ™πŸ’ƒπŸ˜

We had decided to have noodles. So we made noodles at home and went to Somavathi in a van. After bathing in the river, I went to the Somavathi pagoda. πŸ™πŸ’ƒπŸ˜ Before the procession began, we distributed noodles to the crowd gathered near the Somavathi Chaitya. As soon as the noodles were distributed, the procession began. After watching the Procession, I went home that night. We saw an elephant on our way home. The happiness we feel when we give something to someone cannot be described in words. I also enjoyed watching the Perahera. I have only seen the Somavathi Procession once. It was a pleasure to see such a beautiful procession and to be able to offer noodles to those who came to watch it. πŸ™πŸ’ƒπŸ˜
